I came up in documentary and reality, where you’re always chasing something unfolding in real time. You don’t control much — you learn to pay attention, to anticipate, and to let the story lead.
That instinct still drives how I work. As I’ve moved into cinematography, the process has become more deliberate, but the foundation hasn’t changed. Story and character come first. The visuals are built around them — shaped with intention, but never forced.
I’m drawn to images that feel grounded but considered. Work that carries a sense of place, texture, and atmosphere, whether it’s captured in the moment or carefully constructed. A balance between observation and design.
